Across June and July 2026, I was delighted to take part in Beyond Belonging, a group exhibition centred around identity, connection, and the many ways we find a place to belong.
Curated by It’s Voiced and presented by Republic in East London, the exhibition was part of a Pride celebration bringing together artists reflecting on community, self-expression, and the experiences that shape who we are.
I exhibited my piece Beyond Blood, which considers the idea of chosen family — the relationships we build beyond biological ties and the connections that provide love, care, and a sense of belonging. The work reflects on the ways family can be created through shared experiences, mutual support, and the people we choose to have in our lives.
Beyond Belonging offered a space to celebrate diverse stories of identity and community, recognising the many ways people create meaningful connections and define what belonging means to them.
